About New Visions

New Visions began in 1993 and in 2007 became a partner to NYCPS to support a network of schools formerly known as the Affinity Network. The New Visions mission aligns with the superintendent’s vision of ensuring that all New York City public school students, regardless of race or economic class, have access to a high-quality education that prepares them for the rigors of college and the workforce. New Visions has 71 public schools, 60 of which are part of our district. Our New Visions’ schools have access and support improvement coaches, open source curricula, strategic and target coaching and professional development, innovative research and strategic partnerships, and the New Visions Data Portal planning tool that is now used citywide.
